Lauren Peterson, TLMFT

We often move through life quickly, taking little time to slow down and reflect. This pace can lead to a productive life but not always a balanced one. Without taking time to process our experiences, we may never unpack all the distress we carry every day. I firmly believe that changing this pattern doesn’t happen on its own, and that processing allows us to uncover the path to long-lasting positive change. My goal is to create a dedicated, relaxed space for you to take the time you’ve been needing, a chance to allow yourself to slow down and address the stressors that are negatively impacting your life.

My therapeutic approach is client-focused and involves building a trusting relationship, in which we can explore the core issues that have brought you to therapy. I invite you to bring in whatever you have and process it at your own pace, to help you feel as comfortable celebrating highlights as you are doing challenging work. Together, we will work to process relevant experiences before discussing practical strategies that can be built upon to achieve your goals. And in our collaboration, my hope is to remind you that you’re never doing the work alone.
